Dear Alateans,

After careful thought I have decided to take some extra effort to make these tracks as a learning aid to make the coming concert an easier endeavor. Here are the first of the six parts from the “Blue…Green…White” suite by Harry Freedman. You would hear your own part AND the “beat” in dotted quarters at one side, while everything else on the other. The tempo is purely arbitrary (somewhat faster then what we can currently do, but still quite slower then the written tempo) and should follow Ms. Sit’s hand as faithfully as one can. As you can hear while the sounds are very mechanical its nevertheless a good example of clarity between parts, and also (examples of) maintaining sound structural integrity.

As a side note, the only way to sing fast while articulate clearly is to make the lips open as closely to each other as possible; Also you would need to observe at least 1 or 2 measures beyond the immediate action. As a general rule, the quicker the tempo, the wider of the observation required. I have made a track without the beats and all parts balanced just to have a “foretaste” of what is to come; in any rate conductor’s instructions and decisions should be final. Listen to her demands.
